Continuing our FGD success in Poland

Client: Coal-fired power stations

Broadbent has successfully installed and commissioned more than 30 individual vertical batch basket centrifuges for gypsum de-watering.

The centrifuges installed range in size from our ACE1000 to the much larger ACE1400, with each machine providing throughputs of between 8 and 12 tonnes per hour of dry gypsum solids. Final de-watered gypsum solids exit the centrifuges with a surface moisture of less than 8% weight for weight, and with a chloride concentration of under 100 ppm.

The centrifuges were installed at six coal-fired power station facilities in Poland, where highly efficient flue gas desulphurisation (FGD) wet gypsum processing facilities are increasingly widely used.

These latest installations add to the already significant number of Broadbent FGD centrifuges already in operation across Poland.
