    We offer a range of vertical axis basket centrifuges that are ideal for the separation of pharmaceuticals and fine or bulk chemicals. As with all Broadbent’s chemical centrifuge designs, these machines area available in a wide variety of materials. We also offer nitrogen purging and ATEX designs for use in hazardous environments.

  • Solid and Screen Bowl Centrifuges

    Broadbent solid bowl and screen bowl decanter centrifuges are ideal for many mineral,
    chemical and polymer processes.

    Advanced wear technology protects the centrifuge conveyor blades and discharge area and the
    units regularly achieve solids outlet capacities more than 80t/h. In addition, Broadbent decanters
    can be used to classify solids by discharging the fine fraction with the centrate.

    Key features include:

  • Divergent Decanter Centrifuge

    This type of decanter is a further development of the screen bowl where separation occurs in two stages. In the first stage clarification and sedimentation take place as in a solid bowl decanter centrifuge. The second stage allows further dewatering as the solids are conveyed over a perforated screen section. The screen then diverges and allows the cake to convey more easily while the increase in diameter increases “G” on the conveyed solids further improving product dryness compared to a comparative Parallel Screen bowl.

    • Allows highest possible capacity (145+ metric tph), lowest moisture, highest recovery combination

    • Divergent screen expands cake at increasing “G”’s for max moisture release

Rafako

Rafako have a long history of boiler building and FGD plant delivery throughout Europe with lots of references. We selected Broadbent for our last 5 FGD projects, based on good technology and experience.

The PGE project was a retrofit of an existing gypsum dewatering plant based on vacuum belt filter technology, replaced with 12 off large batch type centrifuges. As operation of the machines was necessary to restart of the dewatering plant the equipment changeover and re-commissioning were very critical. This supplier achieved on-target design and deliveries, including erection supervision and wet commissioning on-site. This plant was successfully handed back to PGE on-target. This experience makes [Broadbent] our supplier of choice. We would certainly recommend [Broadbent] to other users.

We [installed] two Solid Bowl Decanter Centrifuges (size: 1000 Dia x 1500) in our Fluidized Bed Drier to separate PVC resins from PVC slurry. These centrifuges [have been in operation for [the] last eight years. We [procured] 2 x 12.5 TPH machines in the initial phase… and later 2 x 18 TPH [machines]… as part of capacity enhancement.

In both cases, we had reliable operation, giving the desired performance (about 12.5 TPH in the initial phase and up to 18 TPH dry solids after [upgrading], and have no [hesitation] in using or recommending Broadbent…
