Carbon Capture

Key to the removal of carbon dioxide from flue gases are rotating packed beds (RPBs). It is in these important machines that the capture of carbon takes place to the benefit of the environment and world. Broadbent has helped pioneer RPBs design and performance to maximise recovery.
Flue gas desulphurisation (FGD)
The removal of sulphur dioxide from flue gases is key to eliminating acid rain & Broadbent has a range of flue gas desulphurisation batch centrifuges to enable this process reliably and efficiently.
Monoethylene Glycol (MEG)
Usually installed in the most arduous of environments, Broadbent MEG centrifuge are specially adapted variants of our vertical batch centrifuge with automated washing & discharge systems. Designed to meet the highest standard for safe operation offshore or on land-based facilities, safety is of the highest priority.
Waste streams & sludges
The applications are too many to mention but using our laboratory, applications can be assessed on a small scale to determine the effectiveness of separation by a centrifuge. Classic applications include municipal waste, wastewater treatment & waste streams from food manufacture. High separation forces are needed to maximise recoveries and give the dryest solids. Flocculants and special accelerators can be incorporated to enhance performance.
