For Refined, A & Special Sugars

The Broadbent CL/CLX range of batch sugar centrifugals was designed with safety and efficient operation as a priority. The total cost of operation year after year is market leading driven by the efficient application of process wash water & removal of sugar from the basket during discharge. With capacities of over 2 tonnes of massecuite per load, large throughputs can be processed hour after hour. The drive can be with the compact & productive Broadbent motor or with commercial motors from the leading motor manufacturers of the world. For controls we use market leading which can be integrated into a factory DCS & linked to colour monitoring systems.

For B & C sugars

Broadbent offers a range of continuous sugar centrifugals suitable for intermediate & low-grade sugars. The Broadbent design focuses on easy operation and low maintenance with such features as simple external suspension and high stressed components being manufactured from duplex stainless steel. There is a focus on safety and efficient operation making the total cost of operation over many years very good value for money.

For A & Affination sugars

A special variant of the continuous sugar centrifugal, special modifications are including to reduce damage to the sugar crystals thus allowing the processing of high-grade sugars as an alternative to batch sugar centrifugals. Advantages include lower power consumption, easier installation and simpler maintenance.

Whilst technically any high-grade sugars can be processed in a high-grade continuous centrifugal, in practise the application is best suited to sugars that are to be reprocessed such as affination & A sugars.

Controls, Discharge upgrades & Mechanical Overhauls

Long life is a characteristic of Broadbent sugar centrifugals and our customer prefer to upgrade them to extend their operating life. Such upgrades include switching to the latest design of PLC, discharge systems, wash systems and mechanical overhauls all with the objective of improving operational efficiency and simplifying maintenance.
